• Inference to the Explanation as a Common Method of Philosophy, Ogawa Ryo, Kagaku tetsugaku, 55, 1, 1, 21, 10 Dec. 2022, The Philosophy of Science Society, Japan, In Japan, despite its popularity in natural science and philosophy, Inference to the Best Explanation is generally considered as an argument for scientific realism rather than as a method of philosophy. This paper aims to marshal some relevant topics in dispute and defend IBE against its critics. The distinct feature of IBE is that it considers simplicity and fruitfulness as theoretical virtues. This character makes IBE useful as a common method of philosophical inquiry. In conclusion, IBE is tenable as a heuristic to identify a working hypothesis, at least.

• 21K20081, The methodology of the study of law, This study was conducted with the aim of establishing a methodology of jurisprudence. This research enabled us to form a study group on legal methodology, and we continue to deepen our research through reports from members or outside experts. In terms of specific research results, the goals of jurisprudence have been clarified using insights from metaethics and philosophy of science, and it has been shown that "inference to the best explanation" can legitimately be used as a general basis for jurisprudential methodology. We plan to continue our research on this topic in the future.

• 2024, この授業の各回は、前回の復習を行う小テスト、憲法学の基本的知識を習得するための前半部分、その内容に関わる現代的議論を学習する後半部分から構成されています。前半部分では、その回のテーマに関する憲法学上の基本的知識について学説による理解や議論を中心として講義します。後半部分では、前半で説明した基本的概念にかかわる現代的問題について、皆さんと議論しながら検討を深めていきます。|　さらも、判例を読解する回を設けます。憲法学のナマの議論に触れていただく機会になるかと思います。読み方については事前に指導しますので、きちんと予習をしてきていただければと思います。|　また、授業内では様々な「問い」を皆さんに直接に投げかけます。また、グループ・ディスカッションも可能な限り、毎回一回取り入れます。

• 2024, ＊教室での対面授業として実施し、教室内でグループ討論を行います。詳細については、初回ガイダンス時に配布される説明資料を読んでください。|　公法入門では、憲法と行政法に関する基礎的な知識を、具体的な事例を基にしながら学ぶと共に、法学の学習に必要な基礎的なスキル（六法の引き方、条文の読み方、自学自習の方法、他者との対話、法的意見の表明など）を習得することを目指す。|公法入門で学ぶ知識やスキルは、特に「憲法１A/B」「憲法２A/B」「行政法１A/B」「行政法２A/B」を履修する際に助けとなるので、今後これらの科目を履修することを予定している者は、積極的に公法入門を履修することが望ましい。|具体的な授業の進め方としては、身近で問題になりそうな事例を基に、公法に関する基礎的な知識を学習した上で、法的なトピックスについて自分の意見を表明して他の学生と議論する。授業を受ける前には教材を用いて十分な予習を行い、授業時には積極的に討論することが求められるので、普段からの自学自習が重要になる。|　成績評価については、予習課題の提出と授業での取り組み（討論への積極的参加）を基に行う。討論に積極的に参加しない者には厳重注意をすることがあるので、気を付けてください。
