A local company purchased this shop, which was facing financial difficulties, and revitalized it as a space for the community with a cafe and flower shop . The goal was not only to preserve the historical appearance, but also to connect to the future through allowing to continue to change in the future.

• JP21K20464, Study of Compatible Area Planning with Conservation of Historical and Cultural Heritages and Disaster Prevention Measure, I investigated some systems for balancing conservation and disaster prevention by referring to areas promoting historical town development such as Kyoto and Kanazawa, and areas working to preserve the historical environment in densely populated wooden urban areas such as Yanaka in Taito Ward and Mukojima,Kyojima in Sumida Ward in Tokyo.;As a result, I have grasped (1) how to combine legal systems to safely utilize the historical environment, alleys, row houses, townhouses, and residences.(2) how to develop firefighting water facilities, (3) earthquake-resistance reinforcement and fire prevention measures appropriate for the preservation and restoration of traditional buildings, (4) the shape of historical buildings and the transition of streetscapes, and (5) methods of real estate management that preserve and utilize traditional buildings.;The next challenge is to apply measures that balance the preservation of the historical environment with disaster prevention to large urban areas.

• 2022, 1年次前期の必修となる本科目では、観光まちづくり学部での学習を始めるにあたり、大学における主体的な学修の方法を理解し、基礎的な学修能力を身につけることを目的とする。|具体的には、初歩的なアカデミックスキルとして、文献検索・引用の作法や、論理的な記述方法に基づいたレポートの作成方法を修得する。また、 他者と協働して課題に取り組むためのディスカッションやプレゼンテーシ ョンの作法について、観光やまちづくりにかかわる課題を通して実践的に身につける。

• 2023, 2年次後期の必修となる本科目では、2年次前期の「観光まちづくり演習Ⅰ」で修得した調査手法を活用して、具体的な地域を対象とした総合的な分析と、複数地域との比較分析等を通じて、対象地域の特性と課題を実践的に把握できるようになることを目的とする。また、グループで課題に取組むことから、目標に向かって他者と議論し、協働する姿勢を身につけることを目指す。最終段階では、総合的な分析を通して把握した地域の特性・課題について発表を行う。

• 2024, ３年次通年の必修の演習となる本科目は、各自の専門分野の興味・関心に基づき専門的指導を受ける端緒となるもので、４年次に通年で取組む「卒業研究」の導入的かつ動機付け的な科目である。観光まちづくりに関連した学生の興味・関心について、指導教員や学生同士で問題意識を共有し合いながら、各自が研究のテーマを設定し、発表を行う。
