Bruno e il problema dell'affetto: l'interpretazione della figura tricipite negli Eroici furori, OKAMOTO Genta, Bruniana & Campanelliana, XVIII, 2, 537, 548, 2012, Fabrizio Serra, Giordano Bruno holds that we always have conflicting emotions such as love and hate at the same time. Bruno advances this claim by arguing that the conflict is the prin-ciple of human perfection. The purpose of this paper is to reconstruct and examine the Brunian theory of emotion, by focusing on his interpretation of the triple-headed beast (wolf, lion, dog), traditional allegory of time, as described in the Eroici furori. I shall also try to reveal why the Frenzied, not the Sage, is regarded as the ideal model for the human being in the Nolan philosophy.

19H01209, Philosophy of fiction - Historical studies on the concept of world under the Baumgarten's scope, We all find in the history of philosophy the theory of the worlds, for example, of two worlds (of mind and of senses). Also there is the theory of possible worlds derived from the theory of creation-of-this-world by God. On the other hand,in the fields of poetry & literature, we commonly apply the concept of world, which is understood as fictional world contrary to our real world, to each works, for example, the world of Homer's Illiad.;These concepts of world meet at the philosophy/Aesthetics of A.G.Baumgarten in 18th century. Under this viewpoint, our historical study, which has 3 stages i.e. before him, himself, and after him, aims at clarifying the thoughts of relation between theories of world and fictional world.
17K02306, A Comprehensive Study for the Reconstruction of Aesthetics in the Age of Posthumanism, This research project, built upon and critically examining the posthuman theories such as N. Kathrine Hayles (1999) and Rosi Braidotti (2013), aimed at proposing a theoretical framework of aesthetics pertaining to the age of posthumanism. Surveying the issues of posthumanism in the theoretical discussions of philosophy and aesthetics, on one hand, and in the cultural representations in art works, on the other, this research sought to illuminate the significance of posthuman theory in aesthetics and art theory, and humanities in general.
25770007, Giordano Bruno's philosophical thought on the plurality of worlds, This research aimed to reconsider Giordano Bruno's philosophical thought on the plurality of worlds from the following three points of view: (1) the ontological base and ethical connotation expressed in Giordano Bruno's Sigillus sigillorum, (2) the Renaissance music theory as part of the intellectual history of the plurality of worlds, (3) the naturalization of cyclical view of history in Renaissance and Early Modern philosophy. The research succeeded in revealing the significance that Bruno's theory on the plurality of worlds still retain in our days.
